He peered down at me from outside the car window, his face taut and tired, briefcase bulging with papers, hair thinning from stress (NOT genetics).
Another day of broken court systems, angry clients, and money-hungry attorneys had sent him over the edge, and he was adamant that his only daughter not sell her soul to the machine of convention.
So I took his advice and ran with it…
All the way through Johns Hopkins’ Writing Seminars program…
And straight into an over drafted bank account.
It took one retail job, a stint at the Country Music Hall of Fame, and a cross-country move before my dad’s penchant for persuasion crept back into my blood…
And I got myself my first gig as a copywriter.
Since then, I’ve written for 100MM companies, helped Unicorn-status startups, ghostwritten for a top 100 copywriter, and been the most in-demand writer at a seven-figure agency.
I’ve also managed life with a chronic illness, navigated earth-shattering grief, and blended a family…
